Through Rod’s long-standing experience of designing kitchens with us and previously with both Hansens and Salix, he has become something of a ‘name’ within the chef community.

In fact, he’s recognised for the kitchens he’s created for many of the UK’s most distinguished restaurants including quite a few that are home to some of our best loved and most highly acclaimed chefs.

“Of course, it’s exciting when a chef opens a new restaurant – being witness to their pedigree and creativity and being able to share that journey with them,” he explains. “And, playing a key role in bringing that vision to reality is ultimately very rewarding.”

“However, kitchen design goes way beyond selling a concept,” he continues. “In fact, I’d go as far as saying that designing, planning and installation are the easy bits! It’s what happens next that determines the true success of a project. The days, months and years following an installation will, inevitably, throw up a few surprises.”

“An appliance might fail at a critical time; a menu might change, necessitating modification to the kitchen; a new chef might want some specific items of kit.”

“Even government legislation might change. Whatever happens and whatever changes are needed, we’ll always be at the end of a phone, ready to spring into action and address what needs doing.”

“And, because every kitchen we install is special to us, we’ll stay in touch anyway so we’re always on hand to chat through less urgent ideas and improvements or to sort out any niggling issues. Essentially, we’ll make sure the kitchen always continues to deliver.”
